Spend a carefree holiday in one of our comfortable apartments in the Antholz Valley. It extends between Brunico and Monguelfo from Puster Valley to the northeast, and is one of the most interesting and at the same time quieter holiday regions of the South Tyrol. At the foot of the Rieserferner you have all the types of sports and free time activities you could desire in all seasons. Our apartments in Antholz / South Tyrol are a great base to start from and offer you views of a magical landscape. At the same time you have the opportunity to stay in a house that could not be more typical than this: The Metzmühle mill was renovated in 2008 in Anterselva di Mezzo and has many centuries of history behind it. Our guests will sense the strong aura emanating from this building, which was built in 1636 as a farm and later used as a sawmill and mill!

Do you want to take a trip to the idyllic Lake Antholz, one of the largest and most beautiful natural lakes in the South Tyrol? It is just 5 km away. Brunico is always worth a day trip and is 22 km away. And why not go to Cortina d’Ampezzo (55 km) or to the famous Three Peaks (40 km)!! From our apartments in Antholz they are really close. Anterselva is a real stronghold for cross-country skiing lovers. The prestigious Arena Alto Adige biathlon centre is also just 5 km away – access to the trails is located 200m from our house, and the slopes of Plan de Corones are just 12 km away. Incidentally, the free ski bus stop is just 100 meters from our doorstep. The infrastructures and services around Metzmühle offer everything for your daily needs, in fact, in the immediate vicinity you will find a grocery store, a bakery, a butcher’s shop, a restaurant and a pizzeria.

Our cosy apartments in the Antholz Valley are functional and fully furnished and will help to make your holiday the best time of the year. The Metzmühle mill offers 3 two-room apartments for 2 people and an attic with two rooms for up to 3 people. They all have a kitchen or kitchenette, shower/WC, satellite TV, internet, dishes, linens and towels. The apartments on the 1st floor and the attic are also with characteristic balconies with stunning views of Anterselva, the valley and the nearby mountains as far as the Dolomites up the valley dominating the horizon. Our ground floor apartment has a beautiful terrace and garden access. The typical warm atmosphere is created not only by the old mill – but also the wood decorations and wooden furniture creating a cosy alpine nest.

Our family has been living in the Metzmühle Mill since 1960. Since then, the impressive building located in Anterselva di Mezzo has repeatedly changed its face through the restoration and extension work, but always preserving its essence over the centuries. As well as being the hosts, we have always lived body and soul in a mill and as such we love following the tradition of great welcome and attention paid to all those who come to visit us, offering warm hospitality and helping them discover the best of our region. This is why we are happy to accompany you as a certified hiking guides on beautiful unconventional tours through the nature park or on one of the peaks of the Rieserferner and the Dolomites in front of us. Another specialty of the Metzmühle Mill: we offer you a collection of hand-crocheted products in pure merino wool for you or as a gift for your loved ones, and which you can order during your holiday.
As our guests you will receive the Holidaypass free upon arrival. This discount card can be used for free public transport throughout the region and thus enjoy an extensive program of leisure time activities and many other advantages.
